Switching to Reachwise

Bring your doors with you

Export a spreadsheet from the app you use now, open Import on reachwise.org, and your houses are pins on the map in minutes, with their statuses, notes and details. Your team picks up where it left off.

Three steps

From their spreadsheet to your map

Export

Download your leads, contacts or roster from the app you use now as a CSV or Excel file. The steps for the most common apps are below.

Import

A director signs in to reachwise.org on a computer, opens Import and chooses the file. Reachwise matches the columns and statuses for you to check.

Knock

Every address is found on the map. Phones pick up the new pins at their next sync, and your team heads out with everything it knew before.

What comes across

More than a list of addresses

Every address, on the map

U.S. addresses are found for you, free. Rows with latitude and longitude columns land exactly where they say, anywhere.

Statuses become yours

“NH”, “Callback”, “Closed Won”, “DNK”: common words from other apps are matched to your own statuses, and you choose the rest. The pins show them straight away.

Extra columns, kept

For sales teams, columns like roof age, utility company or source become lead fields on each house, ready to see and edit at the door.

Nothing doubled

A house already on your map gets the spreadsheet’s details filled in instead of a second pin, so you can import again safely.

Contact details with consent

Phone numbers and emails come across only when you confirm those households agreed to be contacted, like your customers or people who signed up.

Fair leaderboards

Imported statuses show on the map but don’t count as knocks, so Progress, leaderboards and contests only count what your team does from here.

Sales and home services

Getting your leads out

Export everything, all time, so your reps keep every door they’ve worked. Bring the status column: Reachwise turns it into your own statuses.

SalesRabbit

In the Sales Hub, open Leads, set the filter to All Time, then choose Batch Operations → Export All. You get a CSV file.

SPOTIO

On your leads list, use the Export button, choose Current, and download the CSV file.

Any other app or CRM

Look for Export on the leads, contacts or reports screen, and choose CSV or Excel. If you can’t find it, ask that app’s support for an export of your leads with their addresses and statuses.

Churches and bus ministries

Your visitors, your neighborhood and your bus roster

Bring the households you already visit, and bus ministries can bring the whole roster: every child, at their stop, on the right bus.

Planning Center

In Planning Center People, make a list of the households you want on the map (visitors, a neighborhood, everyone), export it as a CSV, and import that. Reachwise reads People’s address columns as they are.

Breeze or another church database

Export the people you want with their addresses as a CSV or Excel file, from its people or reports screen.

Your bus roster

One row for each child: their bus route, name and pickup address, and if you have them their birthday, grade, pickup time and parents’ names and phone. First add your bus routes in Reachwise with the same names. Children at the same address on the same bus share one stop.

Political campaigns

Your turf, ready to walk

Export the list you want to canvass with its addresses. Columns from NGP VAN exports, like VanID and Zip5, are recognized.

NGP VAN and MiniVAN

Export your list from VAN with the address columns included, and import the file. Results in a status column become your statuses.

Ecanvasser, Qomon and others

Export your contacts or canvass results as a CSV or Excel file, with addresses and the result of each knock.

A voter or walk list

Any spreadsheet with a street address and a city, state or ZIP works. Rows marked “DNK” or “No soliciting” come across as No Knock, so nobody knocks there by mistake.

Fundraisers and nonprofits

Past donors on the map

Bring the neighborhoods and donors you’ve reached before, so this year’s team knows which doors gave last time.

Givebutter and donor apps

Export your contacts or donations as a CSV with mailing addresses. Words like “Donated” or “Pledged” become your sold status.

Google Sheets

Choose File → Download → Comma-separated values (.csv), or Microsoft Excel (.xlsx), and import that file.

Excel

Import the .xlsx file as it is. Reachwise reads the first sheet, so put the rows you want there.

Switching questions

Who can import, and where?

Directors, on reachwise.org in a browser on a computer. Open Import, choose the file, check what Reachwise matched, and import. There’s nothing to install.

How big a file can we import?

Thousands of rows. Reachwise works through them in batches and shows how far it’s got. If it stops partway, what was done is saved, and importing the file again won’t add those houses twice.

What if an address isn’t found?

Reachwise tells you how many weren’t found and gives you a spreadsheet of them to fix and import again. Misspelled streets and missing cities are the usual reasons.

Does our visit history come across?

Each row’s status and notes come across as that house’s latest visit, so the map shows where every door stands. Older visits from the other app stay in your export.

Do imported statuses count on leaderboards?

No. They show on the map but don’t count as knocks, so Progress, leaderboards and contests are fair from your first day.

Can you help us?

Yes. Tell us on the contact page which app you’re coming from and what didn’t match, and we’ll help you get it in.
